The MessageID-Finder project:

MessageID-Finder 2.0.0 (Install)


MessageID-Finder is a addon for the Mozilla mail/news client(and Thunderbird) which helps you to find the message for a certain messageid.

You could use it within message view, source view and message header. Mark and right-click or just right-click the messageid.
This opens a context menu where you could choose "Find Message by ID" and then local search, Google or a newsserver (see pic).
Select one of these and the corresponding message is shown in the messagepane.
